Madden 25: “99 Club” 6 Candidates Predicted
The 99 Club in Madden 25 represents the highest symbol of video gaming in Madden NFL International Football. EA Sports Madden 25 will undoubtedly include the 99 Club, a list of the highest rated NFL players in Madden games. Madden 24’s roster update ended with 6 players entering the 99 Club, but how many will we get this year and who is likely to earn the coveted 99 OVR rating when the new game releases? Here are our favorite candidates for the Madden 25 99 Club prediction. Let’s take a look!
1. Patrick Mahomes (QB) – Kansas City Chiefs
Back-to-back Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes deserves another spot in the Madden 25 99 Club. Of course, 2023 can be said to be his “down year”. But let’s be honest, some teams want their quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards and complete over 67% of his passes in a down year. Plus, Mahomes’ MVP performance in Super Bowl LVIII was simply amazing. He and the Chiefs might be able to pull off a three-peat in the 2024-2025 season.
2. Christian McCaffrey (RB) – San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey has been a player for the team since the team traded him to the 49ers in 2022. Last year, he gained over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and had over 20 touchdowns. Since joining the team, he has been a valuable asset to the team, playing as a running back, receiver, and, if needed, a blocker. As long as he stays healthy, there is no reason to deny that he will continue to perform well.
3. Justin Jefferson (WR) – Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson also deserves a spot in the 99 club. Again, he’s had a slightly smaller impact this year, but injuries to him and quarterback Kirk Cousins have severely impacted the offense. Jefferson still managed to get over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns in just nine starts, which is significant. Prior to getting hurt in Week 5 against the Chiefs, Jefferson was averaging over 135 yards per game and had accumulated over 2,000 yards on the season. Put him on the list and you’re done.
4. Tyreek Hill (WR) – Miami Dolphins
With two straight seasons of over 1,700 receiving yards, Tyreek Hill deserves a spot in the Madden 25 99 club. Not only does he lead the league in receiving yards (1,799), he also leads the league in touchdowns (13). Overall, there’s no reason Hill shouldn’t be on this list. He and Jaylen Waddle form one of the most dangerous receiving tandems in the league. Don’t expect that to change in 2024.
5. Myles Garrett (DE) – Cleveland Browns
There’s one defensive player we wanted to add to the list. We debated between Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons, but we think the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is deserving. Garrett just had his sixth straight season with double-digit sacks. The five-time Pro Bowler was the No. 1 pick in the 2017 draft and has been named to the All-Pro First Team three times to date. He’ll continue to make waves in the 2024 season and beyond.
6. Lamar Jackson (QB) – Baltimore Ravens
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The 2023 NFL MVP did everything he needed to do to prove he deserves a spot in the 99 club. About a year ago, I was very critical of Jackson’s pass-rushing ability (and his durability). But after the 2023 season, I see Jackson playing very effectively alongside a group of solid but not flashy WRs. If he stays healthy, he’ll be a nuisance to defensive coordinators in both real and virtual life.
