Some Trap Skills Are Also Being Revamped In Path Of Exile

In addition to Path of Exile Vaal skill, other skills are also being revamped, some getting a visual coat of paint and others getting a few mechanical upgrades. Examples include the Incinerate and the Rain of Arrows skills, which are getting some visual polish.

Throws a trap that will release a number of flames in different directions around it when triggered. The flames will last for a duration, rotating around the trap and repeatedly dealing damage.

4. Siphoning Trap

Throws a trap that applies debuff beams to a number of nearby enemies for a duration. The beams will chill enemies and deal cold damage over time. A beam is also applied to you, granting life and mana regeneration based on the number of debuff beams affecting enemies.

5. Seismic Trap

Throws a trap which, once triggered, will repeatedly release a number of waves for a duration. Each wave deals damage in a series of small bursts in a line, ending with a larger burst. Modifiers to cast speed will affect how frequently it releases waves.

New Vaal Double Strike in Path of Exile

In Path of Exile, Vaal Double Strike is a vaal melee skill that performs two fast attacks and summons a double of the character to attack monsters for a duration. However, do you know the new Vaal Double Strike?

Other Vaal Skills are receiving significant reworks and numerical adjustments, but they want to wait until they’re further along before they talk about them. GGG also have a number of entirely new Vaal skills coming, which they’ll reveal in the weeks to come.

GGG will also release more information on the individual balance values of these skills as testing progresses. As with their previous Skill Revamp posts, any of the above changes might not make it into 3.3.0, as their balance and bug testing continues.

PoE – Curse Needs To Be Stronger on End-Game Bosse

I know curse was too strong on end-game bosses, especially when you have a curse support with you so they made end-game bosses 80% curse immune. However, curse builds are pretty much useless in solo play towards the end-game. GGG should add a keystone in the witch side of the tree, allowing curse to be more effective against end-game bosses for the curse caster. 60% effectiveness would be nice. GGG went overboard with their nerfing, just like ignite and CoC, where instead of a healthy middle ground they made it worthless. I recently made a thread about this and one of the most hilarious replies was someone justifying the current system by saying how taking all the curse effectiveness + empower on a 21/20 temp chains +temp chains helm enchant in a + gem level item still gives you like a 18% slow on an endgame boss.

Or you know I could take like 4 more life nodes and get that much survivability. There is currently no point in investing in curse nodes IF your goal is endgame bossing. If all you want to do is be an immortal mapper then hell yes they are amazing, supercharge your temp chains and enfeeble and get like 2k evasion, nothing will even get to hit you and if it does you will have like 90% evade chance.

Less Slowing Effects
I think bosses shouldn’t have curse resist at all, but “less slowing effects”, “less accuracy loss”, “less reduced damage” and a cap on all 3. Those are the only three supralinear curse effects IIRC.

After all, why is it ok for support gems like Penetration and Conc Effect to cause X% more DPS on Shaper, but for curses which essentially do the same thing like Ele Weakness and Vuln, they’re 80% less effective? The only issues imo are Enfeeble and Temp Chains which would make endgame bosses do nothing if fully specced into. And meanwhile anyone can still take Blind for zero investment whatsoever.

What’s The Best Way To Earn Some Economy In PoE

In Path of Exile, if you want to earn some economy, there are different strategies, the following are some tips according to my experience, or you can choose to buy poe currency cheap, it is a quick way.

1. Flipping Currency (not my fave, too much math and trading, not enough playing the game)

2. Flipping items (not always profitable, very dependent on meta/timing/luck)

3. Selling items (usually ok money, just pick up random rares and list them for trade. Pricing things is another skill in itself though and it must be learned to not lose out on potential profits)

4. Uber Lab (generally profitable compared to investment. Chests drop good stuff, Enchants can be big moneys if you get a good one)

5. Chaos/Regal recipe (debatable. Some say it’s not worth the effort/time, some say it’s fine. I say it’s personal preference, do what you want. In the first week I do identified recipe, in a tab auto priced at 2c. If anything sells, it sells for more than the recipe. Then I do unidentified for a week or so, then not at all)

6. Maps (Once you’ve set up at least one character to the point where you’re not spending currency on it, then every single fuse/chrom/chaos/etc is profit. Just “alc and go” on any map, higher red maps, get chiseled first)

7. The more you enjoy it the more time you put into it and in the end time is the biggest factor of making currency. Time also evens out bad rng with good one.

8. Like currency flipping for small profit is very good but it takes some time to set it up (you need to constantly check rates) and if you only have an hour available and half of that is used for preparation well the net gain might be lower than just running a few maps.

All in all, the absolute best way to get currency is to enjoy content you like since everything you do (except gamble like crafting, running only 5 shaper sets, buying card and the like) will give you currency in return.

The Lost Maps will now proc when killing a map boss OR visiting Chamber of Sins. If it triggers off a map boss, it will give maps in the range of -5 to +2 of the current tier. Ambitious bandits now gives a random bandit reset book that can be traded

New Prophecies

  • Note – if a prophecy is strong, that means it will probably be more rare. Names for prophecies aren’t given.
  • Single GCP – 20%
  • Single Bauble – 20%
  • Exile drops a full set of unique gear
  • All items The Shaper drops will be shaped
  • All items The Elder drops will be elder
  • Exiles in the next map will be possessed by the Shaper or Elder
  • All enemies in the map will be affected by a random ghost
  • You will encounter 1-3 darkshrines
  • The next vaal orb you use will create an: (8 mod map, upgrade the map, turn the map unidentified)
  • You will encounter a map affected by a random leaguestone
  • Encounter a map with a breach and breach lord
  • Encounter a map with a random zana mod (can be in addition to ones already put on by the player)
  • Find a sextant corresponding to the map tier
  • The next vaal orb you use will add a vaal implicit
  • Shrines in the next area last for the duration of the zone
  • The next enchantment you apply to a helm will be Attack/Spell based
  • Bloodline enemies will have multiple bloodline mods and each drop a fusing
  • Nemesis enemies will have multiple nemesis mods

It does look like there’s just as many abilities available for use as there was before, but, it’s just done more dynamically. If you look at the first screenshot, it seems like he used an ability and that ability lets him chain three more abilities. I’m guessing if he uses his second “deck” ability, it’ll let him chain another three abilities as well.

If they didn’t release the screenshots, I’d be worried they’re slashing our available abilities from 9 to 6.

I’m also really curious how Paladin is going to end up working out with all it’s buffs/heals and it’s situational skills. I could imagine the new skill chain system working fine with the DPS classes or the tanks, but, healers are another kettle of fish altogether.

I’m wondering if they’ll just end up attaching their buffs and situtaional skills (like Chains of Punishment) to attacks. Of course, we won’t know the full story until they release gameplay videos. What’s your opinion?
